I used to carry these around in my pockets when I was a kid. I'd keep them for years. They were so smooth and satisfying to hold, and the pattern of browns on the surface of the inner nut was gorgeous and fascinating.
It's an eye to me, beautiful lustre. Big brown horse's eye.
