Hmmm. Those peas are reminding me of something, somewhere...edible. They look so happy. The tendrils are really good to eat, when you have enough of them.
I discovered eating the pea shoots from Mung farmers in Minnesota. They sell the pea leaves and tendrils for $1 a bunch -delicious alternative to peas, bit less sweet but full of pea-ish flavor. Add it to the spring pasta with good shrooms and cotto or pancetta. I went to grand army plaza looking for this and the only thing they could sell me was $5/lb pea sprouts but not really at all the same thing. SO I am excited to grow AND eat these guys. They sprouted so fast, I think I'll throw in some more.
