This.

And that.

 Has become this.

Parsley, garlic scapes, parmigiano, walnuts (sorry, no overpriced chinese pine nuts that make my mouth metallic), xv olive oil.

Thanks Beach Farm.

  1. Isn't this the most amazing stuff ever. I made a batch of scape pesto today for dinner. Best stuff on earth!

  2. fresh tasting, lighter than basil pesto, and less garlic flavor than I imagined.

  3. Ah, garlic scapes! I've used them in salads but never tried a pesto...but now I will.

  5. Not garlicky? Really? Mine were really really garlicky tasting. So much that it almost tasted like we put garlic bulbs in it. I can't wait to harvest the garlic! When will you pull yours?

  6. They were garlicky fresh, but maybe I put too much parsley in the pesto.

I will harvest sometime in July. But when...?

If I do not respond to your comment right away, it is only because I am busy pulling out buckthorn, creeping charlie, and garlic mustard...
