Isn't this the most amazing stuff ever. I made a batch of scape pesto today for dinner. Best stuff on earth!
fresh tasting, lighter than basil pesto, and less garlic flavor than I imagined.
Ah, garlic scapes! I've used them in salads but never tried a pesto...but now I will.
Risotto, too. And soup, cold.
Not garlicky? Really? Mine were really really garlicky tasting. So much that it almost tasted like we put garlic bulbs in it. I can't wait to harvest the garlic! When will you pull yours?
They were garlicky fresh, but maybe I put too much parsley in the pesto.I will harvest sometime in July. But when...?
