Windowstill



I snipped the leeks as the seed packet suggested. Little onion scented drops emerged.

  1. Are you snipping the bad leeks or the good leeks? I ask because my seed packet says plant my French melons in mounds of five, choose the strongest seedling and then thin by snipping the losers, not uprooting them.

  2. The pack says "keep tops trimmed to two inches, set out to weeks before last frost." I think the reason you're snipping the melons is because pulling them will disturb the roots, no?
